Counselling

We use a variety of counselling and therapeutic techniques to encourage self reflection and produce results- Including but not limited to person centered therapy (PCT), solution focused therapy (SFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), experiential techniques such as Gestalt, EMDR/EMIT and a variety of other eclectic and holistic techniques taken from the psychotherapeutic tradition. Along with our own unique touch with our focus on outcomes and practical wisdom ;)

With many years of general counselling experience, we’ve almost seen it all- areas we work with include but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, couples/family, trauma and critical incident, grief and loss, mens work, mens health, sexuality, cancer, anger, parenting, teens and young people, stress, work problems, career and much more.

Maybe youre not in crisis? Maybe you just need someone to talk to for an objective perspective on things? Preventative maintenance? Dont wait till you’re derailed. Prevention is the best cure.

A trained counsellor provides a safe, supportive and confidential space in which to help a client to look at problems they are facing, in a non-judgmental way. This work may focus on a specific problem like depression, anxiety or bereavement, or on a decision, crisis or conflict. The counsellor will help their client to find ways to tackle their issues and to better use existing resources and skills to solve life’s problems.

Coaching

So whats the difference to counselling? Well Coaching uses a few different tools but is implicitly future oriented and solution/outcome focussed.

Often you know what you want, or youre already succeeding, but you’re looking to take things further.
Got some goals you want to achieve? Reflecting on the therapy couch not for you?
Sounds like coaching is for you :)

We also offer manager/executive coaching to help you stay on top of your business persona and goals too

EMDR/EMIT

Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprogramming or Eye Movement Integration Therapy are great techniques to help you brain process events and help you find new calmer perspective on things. Its great for trauma, but also a wonderful toolkit for a whole range of brain changes.
